Joy's a high school teacher at a Manhattan independent school. As a freelancer, she's written for Entertainment Weekly’s PopWatch and reviewed YA literature for School Library Journal. She co-produces two Doctor Who podcasts: Reality Bomb with Graeme Burk, and Five Years Rapid with Kyle Anderson. Joy and Nicole Hill organize the Doctor Who Fans of Color quarterly virtual meetups. If she's not watching or talking about Doctor Who, Joy’s probably training for a race or napping with her cat.
