Director, Young Gifted & Black

    Ikera Davis is the Director of Young, Gifted, and Black, a Bay Area based youth organization that teaches Black children Black history through poetry, rap, and freedom songs. She is one of the founding members of YGB and performed with the group from elementary school through high school. She has been on three YGB International Tours, including two trips to Ghana to perform at Emancipation Day. She has two degrees in Social Justice and Sociology. Ikera is an artivist who taps into different creative practices. She paints, writes short stories, is an avid doodler, and enjoys taking pictures.
